Fun and creative choreography to get your body moving
Dance is a performing art comprising a wide range of sequences of human movement. Our dance teachers draw from an extensive repertoire of dance styles to choreograph sequences that engage young people and help them develop better body awareness, improved coordination, and a sense of rhythm. They also learn to move harmoniously in a shared space and to collaborate with each other creatively. Through helping them understand basic choreography they develop new ways of expressing their feelings and ideas through physical movement.
Dance classes also link well with other parts of the curriculum so they can express what they are studying in science, history, or geography, for example, in dance sequences, thus reinforcing their learning in both areas.
